    Reset Your First-Night Survival Loop
    • Hold LMB HOLD on a tree to collect wood, then press E to turn that wood into planks.
    • Use the same inventory crafting grid to make a crafting table, place it with RMB , and upgrade into basic tools before night fully sets in.
    • Stack dirt or wood with RMB to close off a fast shelter, then stay inside until daylight if you are low on food or gear.
    Move Safer When You Come Back
    • Use Ctrl to sprint when crossing open ground, but switch to Shift near cliffs, caves, roofs, and lava so you do not step off edges by mistake.
    • Rotate through your hotbar with Mouse Wheel or 1 through 9 so your torch, food, blocks, and tools stay ready without opening the inventory mid-fight.
    • If you just want to rebuild muscle memory, start in a low-risk area around your base and recheck your crafting table, chests, and farms before heading underground.
