    Classic Doom Is Built Around Strafing
    • Use Comma and Period or hold Alt with the turn keys so you strafe around enemies instead of standing still and trading damage.
    • Keep Shift ready when hallways open up, because speed matters more than precision once rooms start filling with fireballs.
    • Treat Ctrl as your constant attack key and keep moving through the whole exchange rather than planting your feet to shoot.
    Read The Map And Respect Locked Doors
    • Tap Tab often to re-center yourself once maze-like layouts start folding back on themselves.
    • Use Space on doors, walls, and switches whenever a room feels stuck, because progression often hides behind a simple interact panel.
    • If you are returning after a long break, replay the opening episode first so your route reading and enemy spacing come back before the nastier later maps.
